Forklift Operator (Greer, SC)
GT Logistics Group is seeking a forklift operator for our Greer, SC location.
A forklift operator (or driver) specializes in warehouse transportation. Main responsibilities focus on loading/unloading warehouse inventory and physically rearranging large stored goods.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, warehouse goods from incoming vehicles
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
- Properly & safely securing materials before transport
- Inspecting machinery for damage
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from obstructions or hazards
- Optimizing loads for maximum transport efficiency
- Identifying damages to materials received
- Adhere to safety & operations protocols
- Produce activity logs
Qualifications Include (but not limited to):
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Knowledge of industrial storage procedures, such as the correct way to stack pallets on top of one another
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery
- Team player with great interpersonal & communication skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lift or move heavy products (50 lbs+)
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
